About the App Developer

Kevin Hoctor started development apps back in 1981, when they were just called software. He’s a serial entrepreneur who started five other companies before launching Possibility Studio LLC, which is the parent company for the Voyage Vault app and the Finding Gina Marie YouTube channel.

Building a personal finance app isn’t trivial, but back in 2007, Kevin created MoneyWell to help people manage spending using envelope budgeting.

In 2014, Apple hired Kevin to work on the Mail app and other projects within the company. He left in January of 2023 to travel full-time with Judy and focus on their Finding Gina Marie channel.

Judy had designed a series of spreadsheets to track activities, lodging, and travel. She was also using MoneyWell in combination with her spreadsheets to manage all their spending and produce content for their videos.

In December of 2024, Kevin decided that there were too many moving parts and something had to change. They had multiple spreadsheets, a finance app that didn’t handle trips or multiple currencies, a currency converter app, shared document folders on iCloud, and a Schengen calculator app.

Using his 45 years of software development skills, he created Voyage Vault. Now they had one app to manage their personal finances, that supports multiple currency transactions,, trip planning and budgeting, currency conversion, automatic Schengen calculations, and even a document manager for all their receipts and critical travel documents.

Voyage Vault was designed and built by people who desperately needed to make managing travel and finances easier. Their hope is that this helps everyone who loves to travel and is tired of juggling different apps for all their needs.
