  • Is my financial information secure?

    Yes. Voyage Vault uses iCloud encryption to make sure all your data is encrypted during sync between iCloud connected devices or any iCloud sharing between users.

    You also have the option to enable Advanced Data Protection for iCloud to increase security for shared data.

  • How do I sync between my devices?

    Simply install Voyage Vault on any device you own and make sure you’re logged into your same iCloud account on each device.

    That’s it. Voyage Vault automatically syncs between your Mac, iPhone, and iPad when you’re connected to the same network or over the internet.

  • What happens if I delete the app?

    If you have Voyage Vault installed on multiple devices, your data will be restored once you reinstall the app.

  • Can I share my trips with my partner?

    Of course! Voyage Vault was designed to allow people to share financial transactions and trips. Follow these steps:

    1. Tap the share icon on the vault button

    2. Send and invite via Messages or Mail

    3. Wait for them to accept

  • Can I have multiple cash accounts?

    Yes. We recommend that you create a cash account for every currency you use. This allows you to withdraw money in Euros, create a deposit transaction for that amount in your “Cash EUR” account, and track everything you spend to the penny (or whatever the lowest denomination is in that country).

  • Can I share my upcoming trips?

    Yes. You can send a PDF of the filtered trips on your Trips list to anyone. Make sure you adjust the filter to just what you want to share, then tap the document icon in the Trips toolbar.

    Now you can share it like you would anything else on iOS or macOS.

  • Can I import transactions from my bank?

    Yes. You can import OFX/QFX files, QIF files, and delimited files. The best format is OFX/QFX because it typically contains account information.

    Choose the Import tab, select a file, and tap Import Transactions. If you have multiple accounts, you can continue to select import files that you’ve downloaded.

    Voyage Vault keeps a history of your imported transactions so you can see which bank accounts have imported.

  • Can I merge transactions after an import?

    Yes. Use these steps:

    1. On the Transactions list, tap the select button in the upper left

    2. Select two transactions (use the Command key on Mac to select a second)

    3. Tap the Merge Transactions button

    Voyage Vault will combine your manual entry transaction with the bank transaction, while keeping your local amount and currency. The imported transaction will update the account amount.

  • Why would I match a transaction to a reservation?

    For every Trip’s lodging, travel, or activity reservation, you can assign one or more transactions. This allows you to confirm that you’ve paid for a hotel room, flight, or tour without searching through all your transactions.

    If you create a reservation before adding the transaction, you can tap the + Add a Matching Transaction button and Voyage Vault will use your name, price, and the default category for that type of reservation to build a transaction.
